PET scatter phantom (NEMA-4)

Solid cylindrical phantom with line source for QC on PET scanners

  • Used to do scatter fraction, count loss and random measurements
  • Consists of a poly-ethylene cylinder with eccentric fillable line source.
  • Meets section 4 of the NEMA NU2-2012 standard.

This phantom is used to measure the relative sensitivity for scatter. It can also be used to measure the effect of dead time losses and to generate “random events” at different source activities.
