These barriers are made of Corian which contains lead for radiation shielding. The material has a flat surface and can be cleaned with all liquid soaps and disinfectants. Corian is ideal for use in clean rooms. 
Corian offers 10 mm lead, the leadglass window offers 4 mm lead equivalent protection.
