The CoMo-170 is a compact and lightweight (800g) monitor. It uses a plastic scintillator which simultaneously measures alpha, and beta/ gamma radiation. These detectors are more sensitive than gas-filled detectors and foils can be easily replaced by the user. The system is based on a µ -controller with a LCD and pushbuttons. The menu structure allows setting of personal preferences. The CoMo-170DL has a second build-in detector (GM tube) which allows contamination and dose rate measurements with one instrument.

1. Wall mount with or without charging device. In the mount, the CoMo functions as a hand monitor. Background levels are measured continuously. As soon as the hands are held in front of the detector, the set measurement time starts, after which the monitor indicates whether the hands are contaminated or not.
2. External (GM or NaI) detectors can be connected to the CoMo 170 for measuring dose or dose rate.
3. A trolley makes it possible to quickly and easily check a floor for contamination.

In addition to a contamination detector, the CoMo-170DL has a built-in GM detector, allowing both contamination and dose rate to be measured with a single device.
